Sole Score is a shoe resale research tool. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the app, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. We have designed the app to collect as little data as possible.

1. Information We Collect

Sole Score collects two categories of information:

A. Information stored on your device

The following data is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

·App preferences — your fee percentages, profit targets, shipping defaults, and calculation preferences.

·Last purchase price — the most recent cost you entered, so it pre-fills on your next search.

·Recent searches — up to 50 recent shoe search terms and their source (typed or scanned), each with a timestamp. No photos are stored on your device.

B. Information sent to third-party services

When you search or use the camera scanner, limited data is sent to external services:

·Search query and condition — sent to eBay to retrieve active listing and pricing data.

·Shoe photos — when you use the camera or photo upload feature, the image is sent to a third-party AI service for shoe identification. A text result is returned. Photos are not stored by us.

2. How We Use Your Information

·To display relevant eBay listing data, pricing comparisons, and buy score recommendations for the shoe you searched.

·To pre-fill your preferences and last-used purchase price across sessions for convenience.

·To identify a shoe from a photo so you can search without typing.

·We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose beyond operating the core features of the app.

3. Third-Party Services

Sole Score integrates with the following external services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

·eBay Inc. — Your search queries are sent to eBay's APIs to retrieve marketplace listing data. eBay may log these requests. eBay Privacy Notice →

·AI image recognition provider — Shoe photos you upload are processed by a third-party AI service for identification purposes. Images are not stored by us after processing.

·Cloud hosting provider — The app is hosted on a third-party cloud platform that may collect standard server-side request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) as part of normal infrastructure operation. These logs are retained for approximately 30 days.

4. eBay Marketplace Account Deletion

Sole Score participates in eBay's Marketplace Account Deletion notification program as required by eBay's developer agreement.

·When eBay notifies us that a user has requested deletion of their eBay account, we receive and log that notification.

·Because Sole Score does not store any eBay user account data, credentials, or personally identifiable information on our servers, there is no user data for us to delete. All app data resides in the user's own browser.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Sole Score does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or any cross-site tracking technology.

·No advertising cookies.

·No analytics or session recording.

·No fingerprinting.

The only browser storage used is local storage, which is confined to your device and this domain.

6. Data Retention

Data stored in your browser persists until you clear it manually through your browser's settings, or by using the “Reset to defaults” option in the app's Settings screen. Recent searches are capped at 50 entries and older entries are removed automatically as new ones are added.

We do not retain personal data on our servers. Standard infrastructure logs are maintained by our hosting provider for approximately 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Sole Score is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

·The right to know what data is held about you.

·The right to request deletion of your data.

·The right to data portability.

Because we store no personal data on our servers, most of these rights are exercised directly through your browser by clearing local storage. For any other requests, contact us below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
